NEFI invites you to the webinar series on wastewater treatment plants as an energy hub and resource supplier, operated by Cleantech-Cluster and the Chair for Energy Network Technology at the Montanuniversität Leoben with AEE INTEC. AEE INTEC experts will take up key topics in keynote speeches and discuss them with the participants of the webinars. The aim of the webinars is to identify research potential, form networks, and create the basis for project development.

Webinar III: Wastewater treatment plant as a biorefinery

Keynote Speech: Bettina Muster-Slawitsch & DI Wolfgang Gruber-Glatzl / AEE INTEC

In addition to the energetic potential, a wastewater treatment plant can also be a supplier of resources in the future: Chemical and nutrient recovery from wastewater and sewage sludge using new technological approaches can increase the value of the current residual stream “sewage sludge” and enable new ways of use. At the same time, the need for volume reduction and end use will remain, which confronts wastewater plant operators with major challenges today. This webinar focuses on the recovery of valuable materials in the ARA and ways of using sewage sludge.

Target group: industrial companies, network operators, wastewater treatment plant operators, technology providers, NEFI association and interested parties, research institutions, civil engineers and planners, responsible persons, intermediaries
