The Austrian industry is facing enormous challenges: By 2040, it aims to achieve climate neutrality and complete decarbonisation. Hydrogen is often referred to as the key driver for this transformation.

On June 14^th and 15^th, 2023, Burgenland University of Applied Sciences will be hosting the international e·nova congress at the Pinkafeld campus. The three parallel, topic-specific lecture blocks are once again divided into the areas of energy, buildings and the environment.

NEFI focuses on the development and demonstration of key technologies ‘Made in Austria’ for the decarbonisation of the industrial energy system. The automotive sector is a pillar of the Austrian industrial landscape in which a high degree of process and product diversity certainly opens up hurdles in the development and implementation of decarbonisation technologies. As part of this Technology Talk, we are tackling this complexity by bringing together national and international players from the industry and jointly designing new developments and projects that will bring the sector closer to achieving climate targets.

The Future of Energy MARKETS in Europe against the Background of New Geopolitical Imbalances

The 13th International Energy Economics Conference at the TU Vienna (IEWT 2023) will focus on the recent disruptions of the European energy system, the associated market dislocations and necessary regulatory interventions, as well as on the current questions triggered by them on how we can maintain the originally envisaged long-term paths of decarbonisation and transformation of the energy system.

In the NEFI Technology Talk "Decarbonisation of heating and cooling supply with geothermal energy and industrial waste heat" on 14.10.2022 in Linz, possibilities are to be shown how heating and cooling networks can be decarbonised with the help of geothermal energy and industrial waste heat.
