NEFI Project “Future Heat Highway” Launched

On 15 September 2025, the kick-off meeting for the NEFI project Future Heat Highway took place at JKU Linz.

Building on the findings of the NEFI Heat Highway project, this initiative investigates regional and cross-regional heat transfer networks in four focus areas: Central Linz, Salzkammergut, Styria, and the St. Pölten region. The project aims to develop strategies for an efficient and sustainable heat supply, optimally utilizing industrial waste heat and renewable energy sources.
