Rückblick: NEFI Technology Talk Electric Trucks

Electrification of heavy-duty transport is gaining momentum!

Road freight transport is a key pillar of our economic system. At present, it faces major challenges such as rising operating costs, fluctuating fuel prices, and the need to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and noise pollution.

The electrification of heavy-duty transport is therefore becoming increasingly important. Electric trucks are being deployed more frequently, and the range of available models is expanding—although challenges remain, such as high upfront costs and the need to further develop charging infrastructure.

The event, which brought together 86 participants, highlighted the challenges and solutions related to the electrification of heavy-duty transport and focused on the practical deployment of electric trucks. It presented research and practical know-how through real-world examples, demonstrating concrete solutions for low-emission, efficient, and reliable freight transport.
