The amended legal framework for Austria’s electricity system opens up numerous new opportunities for companies to reduce energy costs and drive forward the energy transition within their operations. The NEFI Technology Talk presents concrete solutions for practical implementation, including dynamic grid access, direct lines, PPAs, bidirectional charging, participation in the balancing energy market, and grid-supportive storage systems. Research findings and practical examples show how the new legal framework can be used effectively.
NEFI is Austria’s innovation network for the transformation of industry towards climate neutrality. Flagship projects demonstrate that climate-neutral industrial production with innovations “Made in Austria” is technically and economically feasible.
